Jutland

The regions of Jutland

Jutland is a peninsula located in Northern Europe, making up the majority of the country of Denmark and a small portion of Germany. Jutland was divided between the two countries when Prussia won the Second Schleswig War in 1864, occupying the Schleswig and Holstein regions of southern Jutland due to their high German populations. Denmark only rules the northern half of the peninsula today, with the Schleswig and Holstein regions remaining a part of Germany.
