Julien Grinda was a French businessman who ran a gambling den in Saigon, South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. In 1969, he persuaded US Army soldier Nikanor Chevotarevich to become a professional Russian roulette player at his den, and, in 1975, Chevotarevich's friend Michael Vronsky bribed Grinda to take him to the den so that he could rescue Chevotarevich before the fall of Saigon to the NVA. However, Chevotarevich had developed a heroin addiction, and he shot himself during a game of Russian roulette before Vronsky could save him.
