
Julian Hartridge (9 September 1829-8 January 1879) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-GA 1) from 4 March 1875 to 3 March 1879, succeeding Andrew Sloan and preceding William Bennett Fleming.
Biography[]
Julian Hartridge was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1829, and he became a lawyer in 1851 and served as the Solicitor of the Eastern District of Georgia from 1854 to 1858, in the State House from 1858 to 1859, in the Confederate Congress and as a Confederate States Army lieutenant during the American Civil War, and in the US House of Representatives from 1875 to 1879. He died in 1879.
