
Juan de Hoyos (died 19 September 1656) was a Spanish admiral. He was killed in the Battle of Cadiz in 1656.
Biography[]
Juan de Hoyos was one of the commanders of Marcos del Puerto's Spanish treasure fleet that set sail from Spain in 1656. Sir Richard Stayner of the Royal Navy of England attacked the treasure fleet and 6 of 8 Spanish ships in the fleet were sunk. De Hoyos was killed in the attack.
