Juan de Dios Martinez (9 March 1875-27 October 1955) was President of Ecuador from 5 December 1932 to 19 October 1933, succeeding Alberto Guerrero Martinez and preceding Abelardo Montalvo.
Biography[]
Juan de Dios Martinez was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 1875, and he joined Eloy Alfaro's revolution in 1895 and became the headmaster of the Vicente Rocafuerte School in 1902. He later became a deputy for the Ecuadorian Radical Liberal Party, and he briefly served as President from 1932 to 1933 before being deposed by Congress. He died in 1955.
