
Juan Jose Estrada (1 January 1872-11 July 1967) was President of Nicaragua from 29 August 1910 to 9 May 1911, succeeding Jose Dolores Estrada Morales and preceding Adolfo Diaz. He was a member of the Conservative Party of Nicaragua.
Biography[]
Juan Jose Estrada was born in Managua, Nicaragua on 1 January 1872, and he came from a military and political family. He led a 1909 rebellion against the Liberal government of Jose Santos Zelaya, which soon resigned, and he became President in 1910 after his brother Jose Dolores Estrada Morales transferred power to him. His new Conservative regime was supported by the United States, and he left office in 1911. He died in Managua in 1967.
