
Josiah Masters (22 November 1763 – 30 June 1822) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NY 10) from 1805 to 1809, succeeding George Tibbits and preceding John Nicholson.
Biography[]
Josiah Masters was born in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut, and he became a lawyer in Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County, New York before serving in the State Assembly, as a justice of the peace, and in the US House of Representatives from 1805 to 1809. From 1808 to 1822, he was a judge on the Rensselaer County Court of Common Pleas, dying in office.
