Biography[]
(((((I just wanna add , joe is my uncle and this article is a little incorrect on where he died , bc I still have his motorcycle were he was sitting when shot and killed .)))))) Joseph Charles Tommasi was born in Virginia in 1951, and, inspired by William Luther Pierce, he joined the American Nazi Party in Arlington. He founded its youth wing, the National Socialist Liberation Front, in 1969 with the goal of countering the influence of New Left militants on college campuses, and David Duke joined the NSLF in 1970. Tommasi became rivals with the ANP's Commander Matthias Koehl following George Lincoln Rockwell's assassination; Koehl was a fanatical follower of Adolf Hitler, while Tommasi was a marijuana smoker, long-haired, a rock music fan, and invited a girl to have sex with him at the Nazi headquarters. He survived a Jewish Defense League assassination attempt in 1972, and, a year later, he was expelled from the Nazi Party, leading to him leading the NSLF in a split from the party in 1974. He sought to recruit white college students who were alienated from the New Left as well as mainstream conservatism, but he never gave up his attempts to retake control of the ANP. On 15 August 1975, he drove to the Nazi headquarters in El Monte, California, where he walked onto the lawn with a club after someone there directed a middle finger towards him. Tommasi was shot in the head and killed after he ignored the Nazi's warning to back off, and Tommasi's right-hand man David Rust took over the leadership of the NSLF.
