Joseph Hunter Bryan (9 April 1782-28 December 1839) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NC 2) from 1815 to 1819, succeeding Willis Alston and preceding Hutchins G. Burton.

Biography[]

Joseph Hunter Bryan was born in Martin County, North Carolina in 1782, the brother of Henry Hunter Bryan. He served in the House of Commons from 1804 to 1805 and from 1807 to 1809, as a trustee of UNC Chapel Hill from 1809 to 1817, and in the US House of Representatives from 1815 to 1819. He died in 1839.
