Joseph Hanselman (born in 1852) was an Austrian Naval officer estationed in China during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.

Biography[]

Hanselman was born in the Austrian Empire in 1852. In 1900, he was estationed in Peking during the Boxer Rebellion. he fought defending the Austrohungarian embassy of the attack of the boxers during the Siege of Peking. He managed to survive to the end of the siege on August 14th.
