Joseph Fitz Randolph (14 March 1803-20 March 1873) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-NJ AL) from 4 March 1837 to 3 March 1843 (succeeding James Parker).

Biography[]

Joseph Fitz Randolph was born in New York City in 1803, and he was raised in Piscataway, New Jersey. He became a lawyer in Freehold Township in 1825 and served as a Monmouth County prosecuting attorney before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1837 to 1843. He moved to New Brunswick in 1843 and to Trenton in 1845, serving as an associate justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court from 1845 to 1852. He finally moved to Jersey City in 1864, and he died in 1873,
