Joseph Clay

Joseph Clay (24 July 1769 – 27 August 1811) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 1) from 4 March 1803 to 28 March 1808, succeeding William Jones.

Biography[]

Joseph Clay was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1769, and he served in the US House of Representatives from 1803 to 1808 and as cashier of the Farmers and Mechanics' Bank of Philadelphia until his death in 1811.
