
Jorunn Ketillsdottir (841-) was the Queen of Jorvik and the wife of Halfdan Whiteshirt of Jorvik.
Biography[]
Jorunn was the daughter of Ketill of Mann, and was of the House of Flatnefr. She was a Norse pagan. In 867, she married Halfdan Whiteshirt of Jorvik, who had just captured York from Northumbria and was busy leading the Great Heathen Army against the English. On 17 January she arrived at her husband's court after her father gave them permission to marry.
