Jordan Baker (1901-) was an American golfer from Long Island, New York.
Biography[]
Jordan Baker was born in Long Island, New York, and she came from a wealthy family. She grew up in the upper-class village of East Egg, and she befriended Daisy Fay, the wife of Tom Buchanan. During the 1920s, Baker made a name for herself as an amateur golfer, but she was alleged to have won a championship through cheating. In 1922, she had a brief romance with bond salesman Nick Carraway.
