Joni Kankkunen (died January 1940) was a Finnish Army soldier who served in the 9th Infantry Division during the Winter War. He participated in the destruction of the Soviet 44th Rifle Division at the Battle of Suomussalmi in January 1940, but he was killed in action during the assault on the communist positions.
