Jonathan Steinberg (1981-7 October 2023) was an Israeli soldier who served as a colonel in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and as commander of the Nahal Infantry Brigade. He was killed by a Hamas terrorist at Kerem Shalom (near the Gaza Strip) while en route to the site of clashes being managed by his subordinates.
