Jonathan Ashforth (1686-1722) was a British Royal Navy commodore who commanded a squadron of ships based in Kingston, Jamaica during the Golden Age of Piracy. In 1722, he was killed in battle with the pirate Edward Kenway at the Battle of Jackson Bay.
