Biography[]

Jon Daniel Runyan was born in Flint, Michigan in 1973, and he played as an offensive tackle in the NFL for fourteen seasons, moving to Mount Laurel, New Jersey (in the Philadelphia) area after being drafted to the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2010, he narrowly defeated John Adler in a race for the US Congress, and he supported the payroll tax cut, a balanced budget, defunding of NPR, and the Republican budget plan. He decided against running for re-election in 2015 due to frustration over the Republican-caused government shutdown.
