Johnny Sloan

Johnny Sloan (1912 - 20 November 1932) was an American gangster who was a member of the Ghillotti Gang of hoodlums from Chinatown, Chicago, Illinois. After harassing Sarah Marino outside her apartment several times, Salieri crime family soldato Tommy Angelo walked her home on 12 November 1932, only to be accosted by Johnny Sloan, his best friend and boss Billy Ghillotti, and other members of the gang. Angelo successfully defended himself and Marino, beating the hoodlums up until they were knocked out.

The next day, a furious Don Ennio Salieri demanded Angelo and Paulie Lombardo find the gang and have Ghillotti and his gang be beaten severely to show that Salieri protects their people. However, as Angelo and Lombardo beat up members of the gang, they began to shoot at them; this escalated to a full gunfight, ending with Angelo and Lombardo chasing Ghillotti and Sloan's car until they crashed into a tree. Ghillotti begged them to not kill him, but he was shot in the head and killed, though Sloan survived.

As Sloan could possibly identify Angelo and Lombardo, a hit by Sam Trapani was planned at Ghillotti's funeral at St. Michael's Church. Trapani was unable to enter, as Chicago Morello crime family members were present and could spot him. However, Angelo had escaped from the Corleone Hotel across the rooftops, luckily arriving at the church through the steeple. As Sloan gave a speech about Ghillotti, he spotted Angelo and ran through the church. Though Angelo managed to kill the attending Morello members, Sloan got the drop on Angelo and prepared to shoot him, only for Trapani to double-tap Sloan before he could kill Angelo.
