Johnny Rivas (31 January 1921-10 June 1944) was a US Army Private who served in the US 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Squad during World War II.
Biography[]
Rivas born in Texas in a Mexican family. In 1942 Rivas, joined the US Army airborne troops. There he was assigned to 3rd Squad. During the throw, Rivas did not reach his zone and had to act behind enemy lines. On June 7, he found four people from his unit. On June 10, he merged with the rest of the unit near Purple Heart Lane, but was killed there by German snipers.
