Biography[]
Johnny Peralta was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1930 to a family of Italian descent, and he became an associate of the Marcano crime family and the pit boss of the gambling racket in Southdowns, giving kickbacks to capo Tommy Marcano. Peralta ran illegal gambling operations in the district, including slot machines, high-stakes card games, and off-book boxing matches, and Lincoln Clay came after his businesses in 1968, allying with Danny Little against Peralta. Clay tracked Peralta down to Wilcock's Saloon after taking down his racket, and he forced Peralta to work for the Black Mob and give him a slice of his profits.
