Johnny Barbosa

John "Johnny Spaz" Barbosa (26 May 1983 – 2008) was an enforcer for the Pegorino crime family of the American Mafia, working as a member of Ray Boccino's crew. In 2008, Barbosa, Joe DiLeo, and Luca Silvestri attempted to steal millions worth of diamonds from the family, but Niko Bellic tracked them down to Central Park and killed them.

John Barbosa was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States in 1983 to a family of Italian descent, and he was involved with crime from a young age; in 2000, at the age of 17, he was imprisoned for petty larceny. He would be arrested in 2001 for grand larceny, in 2002 for marijuana possession, in 2004 for assault and for grand larceny that same year, and for driving while intoxicated in 2005. Barbosa was involved in small-time criminal activities before being employed as an enforcer for the Pegorino crime family of the American Mafia, and he attempted to work his way up in the family. In 2008, he was sent to help Joe DiLeo and Luca Silvestri with stealing some diamonds from Ray Boccino after discovering that they were worth millions, and Silvestri intended to blame fellow associate Niko Bellic for the theft. However, Bellic chased them from Battery Park to Central Park, where their car crashed. Bellic killed all of the mobsters before reclaiming the diamonds and bringing them to Boccino at the park's bridge.
