John Wilson Campbell

John Wilson Campbell (23 February 1782-24 September 1833) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-OH 2) from 4 March 1817 to 3 March 1823 (succeeding John Alexander and preceding Thomas R. Ross) and from OH-5 from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1827 (succeeding Joseph Vance and preceding William Russell).

Biography[]

John Wilson Campbell was born in Augusta County, Virginia in 1782, and he became a lawyer in West Union, Ohio in 1808. He served as a justice of the peace for Tiffin Township, Adams County and in the state house in 1810 and from 1815 to 1817 before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1817 to 1827, and he served as a district court judge from 1829 until his death in 1833.
