John Wallace

John Wallace (1277-1309) was the son of Malcolm Wallace and the brother of William Wallace.

Biography[]

John Wallace was the son of Malcolm Wallace and brother of William Wallace, coming from a family of minor nobles. In 1280, John accompanied his father as his page to a meeting with King Edward the Longshanks at a barn to discuss a truce during the English invasion of Scotland, but everyone there was hanged by the English. Malcolm and John both set out to fight King Edward afterwards, but in 1309, he was hanged, drawn and quartered and beheaded at the Tower of London.
