John William Menzies (12 April 1819-3 October 1897) was a member of the US House of Representatives (U-KY 10) from 4 March 1861 to 3 March 1863, succeeding John W. Stevenson.

Biography[]

John William Menzies was born in Bryan Station, Kentucky in 1819, and he became a lawyer in Covington in 1841 before serving in the State House in 1848 and 1855. Menzies went on to serve as a Unionist member of the US House of Representatives from 1861 to 1863, and he was a Democratic chancery court judge from 1873 to 1893. He died in 1897.
