
John William Ferdon (13 December 1826-5 August 1884) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 14) from 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1881, succeeding George M. Beebe and preceding Lewis Beach.
Biography[]
John William Ferdon was born in Piermont, New York in 1826, and he became a lawyer in Rockland County. He served as a Know Nothing state assemblyman in 1855 and state senator from 1856 to 1857, as a delegate to the 1864 and 1876 Republican National Conventions, and in the US House of Representatives from 1879 to 1881, and he died in Monmouth Beach in 1884.
