
John Truman Stoddert (1 October 1790-19 July 1870) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-MD 8) from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835, succeeding John S. Spence. Born in Nanjemoy, he practiced law before serving in the War of 1812, in the House of Delegates from 1815 to 1816 and in 1820, and in Congress.
