
John Teunis Bergen (1786-9 March 1855) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 2) from 4 March 1831 to 3 March 1833, succeeding Jacob Crocheron and preceding Isaac B. Van Houten. Born in Brooklyn, New York City, a second cousin of Teunis G. Bergen, he served in the War of 1812, as sheriff of Kings county from 1821 to 1825 and from 1828 to 1831, as a publisher, in Congress, and as a farmer in Bay Ridge and Batavia.
