John Swanwick (9 June 1759 – 31 July 1798) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 1) from 1795 to 1798, preceding Robert Waln.
Biography[]
John Swanwick was born in Liverpool, England in 1759, and he and his family emigrated to the Thirteen Colonies in the early 1770s. He engaged in mercantile pursuits in Philadelphia under Robert Morris, and he went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1795 until his death in 1798.
