John Russ (29 October 1767-22 June 1833) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-CN AL) from 4 March 1819 to 3 March 1823, succeeding Timothy Pitkin and preceding Lemuel Whitman.
Biography[]
John Russ was born in Ipswich, Massachusetts in 1767, and he became a merchant in Hartford, Connecticut before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1819 to 1823, in the staet house in 1824, and as a judge from 1824 to 1830. He died in 1833.
