
John Rogers McBride (22 August 1832 – 20 July 1904) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-OR) from 4 March 1863 to 3 March 1865, succeeding George K. Shiel and preceding James H.D. Henderson.
Biography[]
John Rogers McBride was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1832, the son of James McBride and the brother of George W. McBride. He became a lawyer in Lafayette, Oregon in 1855 before serving in the State Senate from 1860 to 1862, in the US House of Representatives from 1863 to 1865, and as a member of the Republican National Committee from Boise, Idaho in 1872 and from Washington from 1890 to 1892, and he died in 1904.
