
John Phillips (26 November 1770-29 May 1823) was the Federalist Mayor of Boston from 1 May 1822 to 1 May 1823, preceding Josiah Quincy III.
Biography[]
John Phillips was born in Boston, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1770, and he became a public prosecutor in 1800, as a Senator from 1804 to 1823, and as Mayor of Boston from 1822 to 1823. He died that same year.
