
John O'Neill (17 December 1822-25 May 1905) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-OH 13) from 4 March 1863 to 3 March 1865, succeeding Samuel T. Worcester and preceding Columbus Delano.
Biography[]
John O'Neill was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1822, and he became a lawyer in Emmitsburg, Maryland in 1842. He moved to Zanesville, Ohio in 1844, and he served as Muskingum County prosecuting attorney, as a US Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio from 1856 to 1858, in the US House of Representatives from 1863 to 1865, and served in the State Senate from 1883 to 1885. He died in 1905.
