John Mica

John Mica (27 January 1943-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-FL 7) from 3 January 1993 to 3 January 2017 (succeeding Sam Gibbons and preceding Stephanie Murphy).

Biography[]

John Mica was born in Binghamton, New York in 1943, and he worked as a multi-industry businessman in Florida. He served in the US House of Representatives from 1993 to 2017 as a Republican, and he held generally conservative views. He was defeated for re-election by Democrat Stephanie Murphy in 2016.
