
John McNulta (9 November 1837-22 February 1900) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-IL 13) from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1875, succeeding John M. Crebs and preceding Adlai Stevenson.
Biography[]
John McNulta was born in New York City, New York in 1837, and he moved to Attica, Indiana in 1853 and to Bloomington, Illinois in 1859. He engaged in cigar manufacturing before serving in the Union Army during the American Civil War, as a lawyer in Bloomington, in the State Senate from 1869 to 1873, and in the US House of Representatives from 1873 to 1875. He died in 1900.
