
John Mason Martin (20 January 1837-16 June 1898) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-AL 6) from 4 March 1885 to 3 March 1887, succeeding Goldsmith W. Hewitt and preceding John H. Bankhead. Born in Athens, Alabama, he practiced law in Tuscaloosa before serving in the state senate from 1871 to 1876 and in Congress from 1885 to 1887. He practiced law in Birmingham until his death in 1898.
