
John Linn (3 December 1763-5 January 1821) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NJ AL) from 4 March 1817 to 5 January 1821, succeeding Thomas Ward and preceding Samuel Swan.
Biography[]
John Linn was born in Hardwick Township, New Jersey in 1763, and he served in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He served in the general assembly from 1801 to 1804, as a common pleas judge from 1805 to 1821, as Sussex County sheriff in 1812, and in the US House of Representatives from 1817 to 1821. He died in office.
