John Law (28 October 1796 – 7 October 1873) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-IN) from 4 March 1861 to 3 March 1865, interrupting William E. Niblack's terms.

Biography[]

John Law was born in New London, Connecticut in 1796, the son of Lyman Law. He became a lawyer in Vincennes, Indiana in 1817 and served in the State House from 1824 to 1825 before becoming a judge. He moved to Evansville in 1851 and served in the US House of Representatives from 1861 to 1865, and he died in 1873.
