
John King Griffin (13 August 1789-1 August 1841) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-SC 9) from 4 March 1831 to 3 March 1841, succeeding Starling Tucker and preceding Patrick C. Caldwell. Born in Clinton, he planted before serving in the state house from 1816 to 1819, in the state senate from 1820 to 1824 and in 1828, and in Congress.
