John Henry Marsalis (9 May 1904-26 June 1971) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-CO 3) from 3 January 1949 to 3 January 1951, interrupting John Chenoweth's terms.

Biography[]

John Henry Marsalis was born in McComb, Pike County, Mississippi, and his family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1922. He became a lawyer in Pueblo in 1935, served in the US Air Force during World War II, served as a district attorney from 1944 to 1948, served in the US House of Representatives from 1949 to 1951, served as a city attorney from 1952 to 1954, and served as a judge from 1954 to 1962. He died in 1971.
