John Dutton III (1956-2022) was an American Rancher, Politician, and Law Enforcement Officer in Paradise Valley, Montana. He was the final member of the Dutton Family to own the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch before it was sold to the Broken Rock Reservation near Bozeman, Montana. He is the great-grandson of James Dutton. He was elected Governor of Montana as a Republican Party member and was a staunch, die hard Conservative. John Dutton was murdered in 2022 from a gunshot to the head, which was made to look like a suicide. He was formerly the Commissioner of the Montana Livestock Association, until he stepped down in order for his son, Kayce Dutton in 2019 at the request of the Governor.
