
John Kevin Delaney (16 April 1963-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-MD 6) from 3 January 2013 to 3 January 2019, succeeding Roscoe Bartlett and preceding David Trone.
Biography[]
John Kevin Delaney was born in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey in 1963, and he co-founded two companies on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2012, he won election to the US House of Representatives in Maryland, representing virtually all of western Maryland (with the Washington DC suburbs being the largest source of votes). He was a member of the centrist New Democrats, and, on 28 June 2017, he announced that he would run for President of the United States in 2020, and he decided against running for re-election. On 31 January 2020, he dropped out of the Democratic primary, having failed to garner enough popularity.
