
John Caskie (8 November 1821-16 December 1869) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-VA 6) from 4 March 1851 to 3 March 1853 (succeeding James Seddon and preceding Paulus Powell) and from VA-3 from 4 March 1853 to 3 March 1859 (succeeding Thomas H. Averett and preceding Daniel C. DeJarnette). Born in Richmond, he practiced law before serving as a judge and as a states' rights congressman. He later served as a common soldier in the Confederate States Army before being discharged due to illness and dying in 1869.
