
John Crocker Sherwin (8 February 1838-1 January 1904) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-IL 4) from 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1883, succeeding William Lathrop and preceding George E. Adams.
Biography[]
John Crocker Sherwin was born in Gouverneur, New York in 1838, and he became a lawyer in Kane County, Illinois before serving as city attorney of Aurora, in the 89th Illinois Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War, and in the US House of Representatives from 1879 to 1883. He died in 1904.
