John Charles Churchill (17 January 1821-4 June 1905) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 22) from 4 March 1867 to 3 March 1871, succeeding Sidney T. Holmes and preceding William E. Lansing.

Biography[]

John Charles Churchill was born in Mooers, New York in 1821, and he became a lawyer in Oswego in 1847. He went on to serve on the Board of Education from 1853 to 1856, as county supervisor from 1854 to 1855, as district attorney from 1857 to 1860, as a county judge from 1861 to 1864, in the US House of Representatives from 1867 to 1871, and on the state supreme court from 1881 to 1891. He died in 1905.
