John Brown (12 August 1772-12 October 1845) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-PA 9) from 4 March 1821 to 3 March 1823 (succeeding William Plunkett Maclay) and from PA-12 from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1825 (succeeding Thomas Patterson and preceding John Mitchell). Born in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, he worked in the sawmill business before entering politics. He moved to Buncombe County, North Carolina in 1827 and died near Skyland.
