John Barney (18 January 1785-26 January 1857) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-MD 5) from 4 March 1825 to 3 March 1829, succeeding Isaac McKim and preceding Elias Brown and Benjamin Chew Howard. Born in Baltimore, he served in the War of 1812 before being elected to Congress.
