John B. Rice

John Birchard Rice (23 June 1832-14 January 1893) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-OH 10) from 4 March 1881 to 3 March 1883, succeeding Thomas Ewing Jr. and preceding Frank H. Hurd.

Biography[]

John Birchard Rice was born in Fremont, Ohio, and he served as a medic in the 10th and 72nd Ohio Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War. Rice went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1881 to 1883, and he died in 1893.
