
John Armato (13 June 1948-) was a Democratic member of the New Jersey State Assembly for the 2nd district from 9 January 2018 to 9 January 2022, succeeding Chris A. Brown and preceding Don Guardian.
Biography[]
John Armato was born in Buena Vista Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey in 1948, and he served in the US Air Force from 1967 to 1971 and worked as an HVAC mechanic before serving on the Buena Vista Township Committee for three years. In 2017, he was elected to the State Assembly as a Democrat, introducing legislation on behalf of first responders and veterans. He was defeated for re-election by Republican candidate Don Guardian in 2021.
