Joel Turrill

Joel Turrill (22 February 1794-28 December 1859) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NY 17) from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1837, succeeding Frederick Whittlesey and preceding Abraham P. Grant. Born in Shoreham, Vermont, he practiced law in Oswego, New York before serving as a county judge from 1828 to 1833, in the state assembly in 1831, in Congress, and as consul to the Hawaiian Kingdom from 1845 to 1850.
